UNDERGRADUATE I PROGRAMS

Our industry-focused programs delivered in English are designed to lead students through the numerous facets of hospitality by developing their operational, administrative and managerial expertise, with a particular focus on business leadership skills. We achieve this careful balance by interlocking academic and guided hands-on learning.

The Undergraduate programs are ideal for high school graduates aged 18 years and over. The student can enroll at 17 years old but must be 18 years old to go for internship. Graduates of Undergraduate programs can apply to study further for Degree completion at our Les Roches sister schools in Switzerland, Spain, Australia and the USA.

Please note:At the end of the programs, students must have an IELTS Academic English Level of 5.5 or above to apply to transfer and continue their education at our sister campuses in Switzerland, Spain, or the USA and an IELTS Academic English level of 6.0 or above to transfer to our partner institutions in Australia.

HOSPITALITY PREPARATORY PROGRAM

// 9 WEEKS PER LEVEL

Intakes are 4 times per year (March, May, September, and November).


This program is designed to help students reach the minimum IELTS Academic English level of 4.0, required for entry to the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma programs. By using the Cambridge University Touchstone methodology, students will receive the highest and newest level of English training available on the market.

The course will provide students with relevant skills in English Language, Comprehension, Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and will also introduce them to the terminology of the Hospitality Industry and particular vocabulary. An introductory computer course will be given to familiarize students with necessary computer operations and skills, preparing them with a successful foundation for the core hospitality program. For this program lecturers will use the latest teaching technology - Mimio (interactive white-boards).
Students will be placed in the appropriate level according to their English level evaluated by a pre-admissions exam equivalent to the IELTS English Exam at the beginning of their studies. There are in total 3 different levels and each level is a 9-week course (1 quarter). Students who show significant improvement may be able to skip a level.

At the core of this program lays the interaction between students and teachers which is facilitated with Mimio Interactive whiteboards, the latest in teaching technology.

UNDERGRADUATE DIPLOMA

IN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL MANAGEMENT

Intakes are 4 times per year (March, May, September, and November).

The International Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of HA I, HA II, HA III, two internships of 5 months each and a quality control exam.

The aim of the Diploma program is to prepare students to confidently enter the Hospitality Industry. The program educates students in craft-based learning environments as well as in academic classes, to acquire the appropriate operational and supervisory skills, knowledge and attitudes for their personal and professional goals.

The program also combines these theoretical and practical courses in class with a professional internship in the Hospitality Industry. Based upon the firm conviction that theoretical and practical knowledge and industry experience have to grow in harmony, the programs divide the student’s schedule between two facets: academic quarters with practical components and an internship in the Hospitality Industry.

The Les Roches Jin Jiang Career Development & Industry Placement office assists students in all aspects by helping them to secure adequate internship positions.

UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATES

LES ROCHES SWISS HOTEL ASSOCIATION CERTIFICATE

IN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL ADMINISTRATION

// 2 YEARS

Intakes are 4 times per year (March, May, September, and November).

Students completing HA I, HA II, and an internship of 10 months will be awarded with the Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association Certificate in International Hotel Administration.

The aim of the SHA Certificate program is to prepare students to confidently enter the hospitality industry.

The program educates students in craft-based learning environments to acquire the appropriate operational and supervisory skills, knowledge and attitudes for their personal and professional goals.

The program also combines these theoretical and practical courses in class with a professional internship in the Hospitality Industry. Based upon the firm conviction that theoretical and practical knowledge and industry experience have to grow in harmony, the programs divide the student’s schedule between two facets: academic quarters with practical components and an internship in the Hospitality Industry.

The Les Roches Jin Jiang Career Development & Industry Placement office assists students in all aspects by helping them to secure adequate internship positions.

Alternatively, upon completion students can progress towards the SHA Diploma by transferring to any of our sister schools abroad. Please refer to International Transfer Options in the menu for detailed information.

 

LES ROCHES JIN JIANG CERTIFICATE

IN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL MANAGEMENT

// 1.5 YEARS

Intakes are 4 times per year (March, May, September, and November).

Students completing HA I, HA II and an internship of 5 months will be awarded with the Les Roches Jin Jiang Certificate in International Hotel Management. Students can transfer for Diploma or degree completion after the 5-month internship in Semester 3. Please refer to International Transfer Options in the menu for detailed information.

The Les Roches Jin Jiang Career Development & Industry Placement office assists students in all aspects by helping them to secure adequate internship positions.

INTERNSHIPS
Upon successful completion of the academic semester, students will go on a 5 or 10 month internship in China or abroad to put into practice what they have learned. This internship is of operational nature to allow students to integrate and understand the fundamental principles and the complexity of a hotel or a restaurant. Students who wish to transfer, to a Les Roches school abroad, will be only required to fulfill a 5 month internship versus non transferring students who are required to fulfill a 10 month internship.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

These admission requirements are only for international students.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

1. The student should be 18 years old or above. Students can be under that age provided they are 18 years old by

the time they start their internship.

2. A completed application form with all pertinent attachments and a non-refundable application fee of 600 CNY.

3. A copy of a High School Diploma or equivalent that has been certified and translated (if documents are not in

English) by an authorized person.

4. A copy of the final transcripts together with the school information about its grading system that has been

certified and translated (if documents are not in English) by an authorized person.

5. A reference letter of a professional or academic nature is recommended.

6. A motivational letter as part of the application form (a brief essay stating the motivation to study at Les Roches

Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College).

7. If English is not the applicants first language or if they have not studied in an English speaking school for at least

3 years, please enclose the following:

7.1 IELTS Academic English level of 4.0 or above.
7.2 TOEFL minimum score of 450 points for the paper-based test.

7.3 Les Roches Jin Jiang online Pre-Admission Test results.

7.4 If the applicant does not meet the above English language requirements, they can register for our Hospitality

Preparatory Program (based on the Cambridge University Touchstone English Program) to improve English

to the required entry level of 4.0.

Please note:All English certificates must have been issued in the last 2 years prior to admission.
