1. When do the summer programs begin?
Our program start date is June 14, 2009.

We offer a wide variety of electives and programs to choose from.

3. How do I apply?
The application can be filled out online: here
-Download application.
-Create your own program
-Fill in the Credit Card authorization form with the $100.00 deposit and send it along with the completed application to our website.
-After having received an invitation letter from us go online an download a visa form from your local Chinese Embassy.
-Book your air flight and send us your arrival confirmation form.
-Process your Chinese Tourist Visa
-A full arrival package will be sent to you.
-Students arriving before or leaving after the official program dates are responsible for their own accommodations.

4. Is there an application fee?
Yes, there is a $100.00 application fee. Please see the application information page for information on payment options. click here for more information

5. When is the application deadline?
The deadline for all our applications is May 1, 2009.

6. Are non- Laureate students eligible to apply for summer programs?
Yes, any student that fills out all the application requirements is eligible to apply for a summer program. Please check to see if there are specific eligibility requirements for each program.

7. What makes our summer programs so unique?
Les Roches Jin Jiang’s Summer in Shanghai offers a wide selection of programs that can be  tailor made to incorporate all of your interests. The programs are based in Shanghai which is a world class cosmopolitan city and one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Shanghai is a great location where you can experience one of the most unique and fascinating cultures and at the same time meet people from all over the world. Our programs have a flexible duration and are a very good value for your money.

8. Can I apply for more than one program?
Our programs are tailor made and are offered in multiple starting dates from June 14th, 2009 through August 16th, 2009.
Our programs are broken down into 3 different modules: academic, intercultural and excursions. Each module is 1 week in duration.
Each of the three modules is then broken down into electives and subjects.
You can choose as many modules as you would like.

9. Are there any language requirements?
 Our programs do not have any specific language requirements, and all of our courses are taught in English.

10. What if I want to learn a new language or improve my language skills?
Summer is a great time to either learn a new language or improve your foreign language skills. Our Chinese hospitality and cultural immersion program offers intensive Mandarin classes. Traveling to Shanghai will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and language.

11. Can I take the programs more than once?
Of course! You can take the programs as many times as you like.

12. How much does the program cost?
The cost varies depending on the length of the program you choose and will include the tuition and other fees, plus course materials, hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation expenses. The programs price does not include air fare from your home country to China.
1 week: $1,600
2 weeks: $2,300
3 weeks: $2,900
4 weeks: $3,600

13. How will I find out my application status?

Application review typically takes about one week. You will be notified via email and sent additional information in the mail. You will also be contacted if your application is incomplete. Please complete your application as soon as possible to ensure quick turnaround.
14. What do I do once I have been accepted into the program?
Congratulations! Once you have been accepted into the program you will receive more detailed information on the program and what to expect. Please contact our coordinator for more information.

15. What are the living accommodations?
You will be housed in 4 star Jin Jiang hotels throughout your stay. Please see the website for more information.

16. Can I participate after I graduate?

Yes, we have students who participate as non-matriculated students.

17. Are programs ever cancelled?

Les Roches Jin Jiang reserves the right to cancel any programs due to low enrollment, including after the start of the program for security, health, safety or other reasons.
